Dentures

There are many instances in which patients may want to consider dentures. Dentures come in two forms, both partial and full dentures. Full dentures are used to address missing teeth on an entire arch, either on the upper or lower gums. Partial dentures can be used to replace one or more missing teeth within an arch. They snap into place similar to a retainer and have false teeth in place to fill the gaps left behind from missing natural teeth.

While bridges and dental implants are likely more preferred over partial or full dentures, not everyone has the budget to accommodate these types of restorations. Dentists such as Drs. Madsen and Hirsch can discuss with patients the best options and alternatives available for them. Additionally, if a patient is not a good candidate for bridges or implants, dentures may be the solution of choice.

At Madsen & Hirsch Dental Care, we also have many patients who have been completely satisfied with implant-supported dentures. Some full dentures may be troublesome and ill-fitting for patients, even with adjustments and the use of dental adhesives. Additionally, bone structure can change, which requires dentures to be continually readjusted over time. With a few dental implants placed in the mouth, patients can enjoy dentures that snap into place with the implants in order to give it the strength, support, and structure that it needs to work effectively for biting, chewing, and talking. Patients who have implant-supported dentures have been extremely satisfied with them and have found them to be completely life-changing. No more slipping, sliding, and otherwise uncomfortable prosthetics causing irritation and sores on their gums.

Additionally, Drs. Madsen & Hirsch also offer new hybrid dentures, which are restorations that are typically left in place at all times. While removable, it is typically just removed for professional cleanings at the dentist's office, and does not need to be removed daily for cleaning.

At Madsen & Hirsch Dental Care, we know that choosing cosmetic restorations can be difficult. We make this decision easier for you by offering numerous alternatives and working with you to find the best solution for your needs, budget, and lifestyle. Together with you, the patient, we want to provide the best dental service and give you a personalized recommendation.
